Imlil Morocco - What You Need To Know

Imlil Morocco is a small Moroccan village located in the upper part of the Atlas Mountains. In 1984, a portrait showing the problems of population in Imlil appeared in the "Westview Press" by James Miller. 90% of the tourists around the world are said to regularly visit Imlil since it's where the Mt. Toubkal is located. The village appears as the tarmac road for tourists who are bound to hike at the Mt. Toubkal.

Before Imlil Morocco became a national tourist destination, the village is known for its production of crops such as cherry, apple and walnuts. The production took place in the mountain areas of Imlil until global tourism and economy started to grow in the country. In terms of hotel accommodations, the village has five hotels and restaurants where tourists can stay and relax. The hotels and restaurants in Imlil however, don't necessarily accept credit cards since there are no bank services in the area.

One of the best hotels in Imlil Morocco is the "Café Soleil." The hotel is located along the central part of the village's "Main Square." Café Soleil offers a wide variety of services catering to tourists. The services include high-class rooms, Moroccan dishes, hiking equipment and free internet access. The "Kashbah du Toubkal" is the most expensive hotel located in the village today. Many tourists prefer staying at the hotel despite the expensive services since the place is said to offer a range of valuable treat after hiking at the Mt. Toubkal. The Kashbah du Toubkal is located on the side of the mountain fronting the Main Square. The "Club Alpain Francais" is the only hotel in Imlil where tourists are allowed to extend their stay from 2-4 months. The hotel is located 3200 kilometers away from Mt. Toubkal's base camp. The "Homestays" is the cheapest hotel accommodation in imlil today. Hikers can stay at the hotel's "Berber Home" where they can experience genuine hospitality from Imlil natives.
